Armed with a degree in Mass Communications and a successful career in Sales & Marketing, Julian left her corporate job in search for something more – to fuel her passion. She bought a one-way ticket to Australia and was out to experience life and what it had to offer. And that’s when her love affair with food started. With no prior experience in F&B, Julian knew she had to start from the bottom and so she did – peeling potatoes and washing dishes. She worked in many different restaurants ranging from various cuisines such as Indian, Chinese, Thai and Australian. Her hardwork and dedication was evident and she got her first big break at Foxtrot Café, South Melbourne in 2013. Since then, she has worked hard to learn the tricks of the trade and has built a certain flair to the food she puts on a plate.
In 2014, Julian returned to Malaysia with the goal of setting up her own place where she can introduce fusion dishes, marrying both australian - asian delights and taking hungry customers on a gastronomical adventure. That was how Yella Fork was conceived and brought to life. Partnering with her best friends, Julian set off to create her signature dishes, fusion menu, style and flair – one plate at a time.
