About The Exhibition In the exhibition “Between The Lines”, Lithuanian-born artist Trexus finds his influence from his current residence in the heart of George Town, Penang. Through his works, Trexus wishes to bring focus on how thin the line can be between concepts like normal and acceptable, between too much and too much to care, between culture and being cultured. The audience is introduced to these concepts through a wide range of line-based artworks including large and small scale paintings and more.
About Trexus Born and raised in Lithuania, Trexus was exposed to street culture and graffiti at a very young age. His grandfather and father were painters whom he never met but the creative spirits they left behind teaches Trexus new things every day. He finds inspiration in his urban environment and his works usually speak about fitting into and surviving in today’s society. Since 2007, Trexus has been making art and his street pieces found in different countries continue to spread creativity and energy. Although galleries and murals are his main goal, the street aspect which influenced him most stays visible in his work till this day.
Trexus’ signature brush stroke has also earned him commissions with renowned companies such as Uber, Adidas, Danske, Uniti Technologies as well as collaborations on album covers LTZOO (Lithuania), No Baking Soda (UK), Wzrd Yoshi (UK) and Endangered Species (Canada).
